Recent Projects
It has been a busy fall at Nova Media. With several projects under development, we managed to launch the following websites:
Lacombe Chamber of Commerce
The local chamber came to us for a redesign of their existing website. Although the website was working, there were some issues with usability and the easy of updating the information. An important part of the website is the member directory that is used frequently by people searching for a certain business.
Training the people that are updating the website was another key factor in the success of this project. Although the Content Management System is easy to use, it needs to be explained in simple term as it may seem a bit overwhelming at first.
Another area that will be managed more closely is the visitor statistics because this will be a good indication of how effective the website is in marketing the Chamber to the community. An analytics program is installed to manage this part of the Chamber's marketing efforts.
Because of the targeted nature of the visitors to the site, the Chamber is contemplating selling advertising on the site to major sponsor as part of an annual sponsorship package.
Lacombe Christian School
The Lacombe Christian School was looking for an updated web-presence and a system that would allow them to update content easily. After several meetings and discussions with the School's Development committee, a basic layout was decided on.
The site is now ready for future growth as the school is realizing that the Web is becoming an important tool to communicate with prospective students, staff, and the community at large.
